Open Hours and Location
Open Hours and Special Events through June 20, 2008.
Beginning October
1, 2007, the Homestead will be open Thursdays 1:30 - 3:30 pm. (These new hours will replace the previous
hours on Wednesdays.) In addition, the Homestead will be open on the following Saturdays for the events

7, 2008 12:00 - 3:00 Tour of Rose Garden (only roses known before 1830)
and House Tour. (Last tour at 2:30 pm.) Fees for
all events and tours excepting the George Washington's Birthday Tea: $7.00 for adults and $3.50 for persons 12 years and
under. Children must be accompanied by an adult.

Washington's Birthday Tea: $15 for adults and $7.00 for persons 12 years and under. Tea, sandwiches and cakes of
the period, including some of General Washington's personal favorites, will be served.

Directions: Exit 41 from I-84 (east or west) in West Hartford. From the East, turn left at end of the exit onto
South Main Street and go straight south through 2 stoplights. At third stoplight, (intersection with New Britain Avenue) turn
left and make a quick right to enter the parking lot between the restaurant on the right and the 2 story gray colonial building
on your left. From the West, turn right at end of the exit onto South Main Street and go through one stoplight. At
second stoplight (intersection with New Britain Avenue) turn left and make a quick right to enter the parking lot between the restaurant on the right and the 2 story gray colonial building on your
left. From West Hartford, go south on South Main Street until the intersection with New Britain Avenue,
turn left and make
a quick right to enter the parking lot between the restaurant on the right and the 2 story gray colonial building on your left. From Newington, pick up South Main Street in
West Hartford and go North. Just before the intersection with New Britain Avenue, turn right into the parking lot behind the
restaurant (this is a different entrance from the one described above). Parking:
